How to clean the ceramic floors

If you love having very clean and shining ceramic tile floors like me, you are probably suffering in pain because of cleaning them on your hands and knees. Ceramic tile floors can be easily cleaned.  Hopefully we can make a few changes and save you from aches and pains.

Tip 1 : Glazed tiles or Unglazed tiles
Glazed tiles are more prone to repel water and dirt, whereas unglazed tiles will be more affected by them. You will take more time cleaning the unglazed tiles as it requires you to dump mop and sweep the tiles more frequently. If you have an H2O Mop X5, you don’t need a bucket and mop to clean the tile floor anymore. The H2O Mop X5 clean many kinds of surfaces including ceramic, tiles, marble, linoleum, marble, wood and carpets.

Tip 2: Sweep or vacuum first
Before mopping the ceramic tile floors, be sure to sweep or vacuum first to remove any loose soil and grit. I recommend you to vacuum loose debris and dust often to prevent your floors from becoming damaged and keeping them beautiful.

Tip 3: Use a microfiber mop
Don’t use a sponge mop for the ceramic-tile floors cleaning. This will cause the dirt to move to the grout, and it will be a lot more work to clean later on. Instead, use a micro-fiber mop or a steam mop like H2O Mop X5. Microfiber picks up all the dirt that a sponge mop leaves behind.

Tip 4: Wipe the floors
After cleaning up the floors, be sure to use a clean and dry cloth to wipe in a circular motion across the floor.

Tip 5: Use a brush for dirty grouts
If you have a dirty grout, you can remove the dirt and stains with an old toothbrush. H2O Mop X5 comes with a round copper brush. You can attach this copper brush to the H2O Mop X5 hand-held steamer and use the 1-Low or 2-Medium steam setting. This will loosen up the dirt in the grout and you can easily clean it up.
